Jimmy Thomas Mayo April 8, 1942 – March 9, 2016 Jimmy Thomas Mayo, 74, of Lucama passed away Wednesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Kevin Paul Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 5737 Lloyd Road. Jimmy was a long distance truck driver and was known as “Big Boy”. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ethel Marie Mayo of the home; his sons, Jimmy Mayo, Jr. and wife, Pam, James Mayo and wife, Melanie, Billy Mayo and wife, Melinda, and Dennis Mayo and wife, Johnnie; grandchildren, Amanda, Tracy, James Lee, Jessica, Candice and Will; his great-grandchildren, Lacey, Abbi, Hunter, Nate, Peanut, Alex, Olivia, Jeremiah, Emily, Thomas, Austin, and Ryan; his mother, Elizabeth Mayo, and his sister, Frances Proctor.
