Jimmy Carroll Murray

Jimmy Carroll Murray August 30, 1940 – April 17, 2020 Jimmy Carroll Murray, 79 of Wilson passed away Friday. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at a later date. Jimmy served his country with honor and pride with the US Army. After returning from service, he logged three million miles, without incident, hauling freight across the country. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. Jimmy will be missed by his family and many friends. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Linda Murray of the home; daughter, Sherry Murray Carter of Wilson; son, Jimmy Carroll Murray, Jr. of Wilson; five grandchildren; sister, Linda Proctor and his brother, Jerry Murray of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian Murray; sisters, Christine Hites and Shirley Kelly and his brothers, Sherwood Murray, Douglas “Bo” Murray, Larry Ray Murray and Joey Murray.
