Originally from Farmville, Jimmy had a fascination for electronics. Jimmy’s Father, originally from Northampton County, relocated to Farmville, he was a master blacksmith and Jimmy followed in his footsteps of handywork. As a boy, Jimmy liked to take things apart and put them back together, as an adult, Jimmy could fix anything. Although he started out doing body work, he eventually followed his passion and began repairing TV’s, Radios and Guitar Amps. You could always find him in his barn tinkering on his latest creation. An avid country and western fan, Jimmy loved going to local dances at The Red Barn. He also enjoyed grabbing a meal at the Char Grill. Jimmy met his loving wife of 40 years at The Colony Theatre on Goldsboro Street where she worked in the snack bar. They shared a life of love together and are now awaiting a glorious resurrection.
Jimmy is survived by his loving friends, Bill Renegar and wife, Carol; Robbie Cook and wife, Jobi; and Louis Skinner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Bertha Vaughan and his loving wife, Ann Mercer Vaughan.
