Joan Joyner Griffin

Joan Joyner Griffin June 6, 1938 – May 16, 2021 Joan Joyner Griffin, 82 of Middlesex passed away Sunday. Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Chapel, 10748 Bissette Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Jonathan Pearce and Rev. Phil Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Union Chapel, Middlesex. Joan is survived by her daughter, Ava Dale Griffin of Wilson; son, Randy Douglas Griffin and wife, Rhonda of Middlesex; grandchildren, Randy Griffin, Jr., Amanda Griffin, Amy Lewis, Shane Lewis, Andy Lewis, and Van Lewis; eight great-grandchildren; her niece, Gail Thorne, who she thought of as daughter of Bailey; sisters, Jessie Wiggs of Louisburg, Joyce Eason of Wilson, Marion Bradley of Bailey, and Cathy Coble of Mt. Pleasant, and her brother, Jerry Feree of Siler City. She was preceded in death by her husband, K.K. Griffin; daughter, Judy Lewis; grandson, Phillip Denton, and her brothers, Arnold Bradley and Buddy Bradley.
