JoAnn Williams Boykin May 7, 1948 – March 28, 2019 JoAnn Williams Boykin, 70 passed away Thursday.  Her memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The Rev. Ron Brisson will officiate. JoAnn loved to garden, make cards, sewing, upholstering and her flowers.  She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Johnnie “Jay” Boykin Bailey of the home; his children, Jennifer Thorne and husband, Jesse of Wilson, Clay Boykin of Bailey and a special friend, Tami Lauramore of Bailey and Bryan Boykin and wife, Brandy of Bailey; grandchildren, Jonathon Boykin, Lauren Wright and Chase Wright; sisters, Janice Bissette and husband, Terry of Bailey and Angie Wolfe and husband, Phillip of Wilson and her niece, Jamie Bunn and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Lester and Frances Joyner Williams; sister, Vicky Williams Morris and her nephew, Jody Allen Bunn.
