Joanne Evans Ellis

Joanne Evans Ellis May 8, 1948 – April 28, 2019 Joanne Evans Ellis, 70, of Asheboro, formerly of Wilson passed away Sunday.  Her funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Pentecostal Church 1424 Hwy 42 S, Asheboro.  Graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Stacy Garnett and Rev. Shawn Garnett will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Calvary Pentecostal Church. Joanne is survived by her husband, Bishop James E. Ellis of the home; sons, Shawn Garnett and wife, Beth of Wilson, Stacy Garnett and wife, Jamie of Asheboro, Tracy Garnett and wife, Sheree of Asheboro, James Ellis and wife, Gail of Florence, Mississippi and Jeff Ellis and wife, Marsha of Hammond, Louisiana; daughter, Andrea McClain and husband, Danny of Lynchburg, Ohio, fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and sisters, Rose Sutton of Elm City and Mildred Bennett of Elm City.
