JoAnne Mercer Gallimore, 58, of Lexington, NC passed away Saturday.  A Celebration Service of her life will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Bailey Baptist Church, Bailey, NC.  Interment will follow in the F.W. Stone Memorial Cemetery.  The Rev. Jack Stone will officiate.   The family will receive friends 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday, immediately preceding the service at the church and other times at home.   JoAnne was a 1974 graduate of Southern Nash Senior High School.  She attended A B & F Fashion Institute in Charlotte, receiving a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She also attended Barton College for two years, studying Art Education.  She worked in the business industry for several years in the Wilson area and created a well-established career in Real Estate.  JoAnne was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother to her “Payty”, who called her “Neanie”.  She had a strong faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ.   Surviving are her husband, Eddie Gallimore of the home; one daughter, Meredith Bohannon Mercer of Bailey; one step-son, Brian Gallimore and wife, Ellen, of Winston-Salem; her mother, Jean B. Stone of Bailey; two sisters, Debbie S. Fitzgerald and husband, Pat, of Wake Forest, and Jennifer S. Edwards and husband, Mark, of Bailey; one brother, Ricky Stone of Bailey; two grandchildren, Payton Dunn and Jackson Gallimore; and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her father, T.R. “Pete” Stone.   Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Hinkle Hospice House, c/o Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or the National  Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St., Suite 200, Newton, MA 02458.   Arrangements are by Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net
