John Wesley Anderson, Jr. March 10, 1932 – January 30, 2021 John Wesley Anderson, Jr., 88 of Wilson was surrounded by his loving family Saturday when he left this world to go be with his Heavenly Father. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. John served his country with honor and pride with the US Air Force. He was the owner of Eastern Auto Supply in Wilson on Barnes Street. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed and thought of often with wonderful memories. John is survived by his daughter, Lisa Rebecca Anderson of Wilson; son, William Neal Anderson and wife, Michelle of Wilson; grandson, William Neal Anderson, Jr. and his granddaughters, Katherine Leigh Anderson, and Rebecca Leigh Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Jenkins Anderson of sixty-one years; son, John “Jay” Wesley Anderson, III, of seventeen months; parents, John and Sallie Sledge Anderson and his sister, Dorothy Moore.
