John Carson

John “Jack” Carson, 85, of Wilson, formerly of Philadelphia passed away early Friday afternoon of natural causes. A remembrance service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Jack was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Mary and Thomas Carson. He proudly served his country with honor during the Korean War in the U.S Armed Forces. After his time in the military, he began a long career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Jack worked as security for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia for thirty-two years, after retiring in 1988 he moved to Wilson, with his family.
Jack was a devoted husband to his late wife, Dolores “Laurie” Carson for forty years and was a great father to his only son, Vince.
He lived his life with a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. Everyone that knew him would agree that he was a joy to be around. Jack was compassionate, charming, and above all was a great friend to all. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
