John Michael Joyner
June 19, 1957 – February 27, 2017
John Michael “Mike” Joyner, 59, of Wilson passed away Monday. His funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Jonathan Ange will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Mike was retired from Eastern Electric Supply in Rocky Mount. He was married for forty years, and he was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Mike will be missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart.
Mike is survived by his wife, Tina L. Joyner of the home; his sister, Claudia Baker of Wilson; Jamie Baker of Wilson, who was like a brother to him; special nieces, Lisa Baker, and Crystal Baker both of Wilson; special nephew, Scott Lucas of Wilson; great nieces, Mikayla Foster, and Kyleigh Foster both of Wilson; brother-in-law, Randy Lucas, Sr. of Kenly, and his special little buddy, Gibbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemmie and Jean Bridgers Joyner.
