Jonas (JD/Buster) Daniel Harrell

Jonas Daniel Harrell November 23, 1950 – April 3, 2019 Jonas (JD/Buster) Daniel Harrell, 68, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.  His funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Carroll Bradbury will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Jonas was a graduate of Saratoga Central High School and Wilson Community College with an accounting degree.  Jonas was a servant to his Lord and attended Owens Chapel OFWB Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends and traveling to the mountains.  Jonas was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Jonas is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Evelyn “Arminta” Rollins Harrell of the home; his daughters, Amy Garris and husband, Bert of Wilson, Lisa Harrison and husband, Rick of Wilson and Cheryl Henning and husband, Randy of Catawba, South Carolina; grandchildren, Tanner Garris of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Parker Garris of Raleigh, Benjamin Harrison and William Harrison both of Wilson and Laurel Henning, Jason Henning, Ian Henning, Evan Henning, Analiese Henning and Heather Henning all of Catawba, South Carolina; sisters, Nannie “Susie” Sikes and husband, Joseph Michael of Elm City and Wendy Webb and husband, George of Elm City; his brothers, David Harrell and wife, Robin of Elm City, Kenneth Harrell and wife, Patricia of Elm City and Scott Harrell and wife, Lisa of Macclesfield and a host of loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas David and Mavis Proctor Harrell.
