Joni Turnage Medlin

Joni Turnage Medlin December 6, 1968 – January 22, 2016

Joni Turnage Medlin, 47, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 5142 Hwy 58 North, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Stephenson will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, and other times at the home.

Joni is survived by her husband, Jeff S. Medlin; her sons, Josh Bailey Turnage and Richard Banx Turnage both of the home; her step-daughter, Ashleigh Dawn Medlin of Zebulon; her step-granddaughter, Brenleigh Shae Hopkins of Zebulon; her mother, Jean Suggs of New Bern; her step-sisters, Debbie Hathaway, and Ashley Turner both of Greenville; and her step-mother, Nannie Sue Fields of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Lee Fields.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Joni’s honor to be made to the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 5142 Hwy 58 N, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
