Joseph Ray Harper October 25, 1934 – May 25, 2020 Joseph Ray Harper, 85 of Wilson passed away Monday. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Friends are welcome Thursday afternoon from 12 – 5 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway for the viewing and to pay respects. Joe is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lucas Harper; daughter, Paula Hardison, husband, Lee; sons, Allen Harper, spouse, Terry, Ken Harper, wife, Sheri, Paul Harper and Jeff Harper; grandchildren, Kelsey (Amber), Channing (David), Cody (Jessica), Clay (Amy), Devon, Evan (Taylor), Avery (Kailey), and Liza; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Chase, AnnaBlair, Leighton and Myra and his sister, Julia Mae Harper Tingen, husband, Johnny He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph K. Harper, Ruth Tolston Harper and Julia Batts Harper(maternal).
