Joseph Lynwood Hill, Sr.

September 16, 1934 – August 16, 2013

Joseph “Lynwood” Hill, 78, of Wilson passed away Friday.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date.  The family will receive friends 5- 7 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.   Lynwood is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Joe Hill and wife, Jody; grandson, Tucker; sisters, Ethel Hayes and Janie Joyner and husband, Larry; his brother, Jackie Hill and wife, Jewel and his sister-in-law, Elaine Hill.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Resley and Mary Hill; brother, Kenneth Hill and brother-in-law, Thomas Hayes.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern NC, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC  27605.
