Josephine Barnes Collier
September 30, 1935 – February 19, 2020
Josephine Barnes Collier, 84 of Lucama passed away Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Upper Black Creek Cemetery, Upper Black Creek Church Road, Lucama. Joshua Collier will conducted the service.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Josephine is survived by her daughter, Jackie Dianne Collier of Lucama; sons, Danny Lee Collier and wife, Aimee of Macclesfield, Marvin Leonard Collier and wife, Cindy H. of Rocky Mount, James Bryant Collier and wife, Terra of Selma, Thomas “Chris” Christopher Collier and wife, Bonnie of Lucama and Leonard Alison Collier, III and wife, Linda of Lucama; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and her sister, Carol Barnes Narron of Middlesex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.A. Collier Jr.; grandchild, Danielle Elizabeth Collier; parents, William Marvin Barnes and Alice Daniel Barnes; sister, Linda Haney and her brother, David Pete Barnes.
