Joshua Shane Moss April 11, 1988 – December 23, 2016 Joshua Shane Moss, 28, of Elm City passed away Friday. His funeral services will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:15 p.m. prior to the service. The Rev. Cliff Lewin will officiate. Shane was born on April 11, 1988 in Rocky Mount to Anna Hobbs Moss and Carl Dennis Moss and was a loving and devoted son. He graduated from R.L. Fike High School in 2006 and went on to earn his Associates Degree in Information Technology where he utilized his skills for MBM/McLane Distributor of Rocky Mount. Shane was a gifted guitarist, blessing his friends, family and church family with his talent. Shane was a true friend to all, showing love and compassion to everyone he met. He loved music, life, traveling and most of all his family. Shane is survived by his mother, Anna Wheeler and step-father, Brantley Wheeler of Wilson; his father, Dennis Moss of Rocky Mount; brother, Jonathan Reid Moss of Elm City; step-brother, Jason Wheeler of Wilson; step-sister, Kelly Massengill of Wilson; grandparents, Maxine Hobbs of Rocky Mount, Henry Hobbs of Los Angeles, California, and Susie Moss of Whitakers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl Moss and step-grandparents, Elsie Wheeler and Wayne Wheeler. Flowers are welcome or memorial in Shane’s honor may be directed to Missions @Wilson Praise and Worship, PO Box 94, Wilson, North Carolina 27894.
