Joyce Bissette Tedder May 10, 1928 -January 15, 2018 On January 15, 2018, Joyce Bissette Tedder, 89 of Bailey, passed away quietly with love, comfort and support from her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist, 9289 S NC Hwy 581, Bailey. Pastor Carlos Castano will officiate. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson Mrs. Tedder was born in Nash County on May 10, 1928 to the late Ressie Bissette and Lizzie Finch Bissette. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard Thomas Tedder and daughter, Susan Tedder Lane. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Perry and husband, Hal of Raleigh; sisters, Carolyn B. Raper of Wilson, and Rebekah Smith of Wilmington; brother, Dan Beard and wife, Diane of Bailey; granddaughters, Lisa Lane Askew and husband, Ronnie of Elm City, and Jamie Bounedjar and husband, Steve of Wilson; grandson, Scott Lane and wife, Tara of Elm City; nine great-grandchildren; Brad Askew, Brittney Cannon, Dylan Askew, Troy Askew, Morgan Lane, Thomas Lane, Noah Bounedjar, Anissa Bounedjar, and Omar Bounedjar; two great-great grandchildren, Jackson Finch Cannon, and Emerson Lynne Cannon, and her special friend, Marlean Perry Glover of Bailey. The family would like to offer a very special acknowledgement of appreciation to Dr. Keith Lerro, Dr. Sunil Chand and Mr. Dan Cotten and all the excellent and attentive staff of the Brian Center in Wilson.
