Richard Jackson Barnes, Jr.

Richard Jackson -Dicky- Barnes, Jr., 73 of Wilson passed unexpectedly Friday, February 8, 2013 at Wilson Medical Center.-His remains will be interred in Maplewood Cemetery in a private service.
-Dicky- was born in Wilson, where he graduated at Charles L. Coon High School and served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy.-Early in his career he was a State Trooper with the N.C. Highway Patrol and was a long time employee of Westinghouse Corporation.-Before retirement, -Dicky- was owner and operator of Precision Appliance Sales and Service Company.
-br />-Dicky- is survived by son, Randall Jackson Barnes and wife, Levina of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Lee Ann Nichols of Sanford, FL;-four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his brother, Arthur Thomas -Tommy- Barnes and wife, Wanda of Wilson; several nieces and nephews and a long time loving special friend, Mildred Bass of Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Jackson -Goody- Barnes, Sr. and Glennell Cash Barnes and his brother, Robert Lee -Bobby- Barnes.
