Juanita Vernelson
January 11, 1937 – July 21, 2020
Juanita Vernelson, 83 of Wilson passed away Tuesday at the home of her daughter after an unexpected illness. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Impact Church of Wilson, 3338 Corbett Avenue, Elm City. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. in Pinewood Cemetery, 4150 E 10th Street, Greenville. The Rev. David List and Rev. Eric Vernelson will officiate.
Juanita was a wonderful and loving mother, sister, grandmother and a friend to all that knew her. She will be greatly missed and thought of often with loving memories that will warm the heart. She is rejoicing in heaven, completely healed and dancing in the presence of Jesus, whom she loved with all her heart. Juanita was excited to welcome her first great-grandchild, Acen Lee Grace due in September.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Vanessa and husband, Dr. Mark Beamer of Pinetown; son, Derek Lee Sylvester and wife, Trista of Dunnellon, Florida; grandchildren, Hannah Beamer Grace and husband, Cameron, Joshua Mark Beamer, Cody Sylvester, Emma Sylvester, Malayna Sylvester and Kyle Stewart; sister, Sonja Wagoner and husband, Roy of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, Ronald Vernelson and wife, Brenda of Kissimmee, Florida and Rev. Eric Vernelson and wife, Elizabeth of Wilson and twelve nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Sally Harrell Vernelson and her brothers, Hugh Vernelson, Dan Vernelson and Doug Vernelson.
