  Judy Bass Mercer, 76, of Wilson died Monday. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Dunham will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Judy worked at the Wilson Times, Whitley Electric, and she was an Assistant Clerk for the Wilson County Clerk office. Judy is survived by her husband, Jay Mercer of the home; her sister, Carolyn Jean Deprinizo of Virginia and her special sister-in-law, Betty Beaman. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ranie and Mary Ellen Bass and her brother, John Richard Bass. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Winstead United Methodist Church, 1407 S.
