Karen Kay McCallister

Karen Kay McCallister, 75, of Wilson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
Karen was born August 7, 1941, the daughter of George Henry Fulkes and Mary Jane Skees Fulkes in Charleston, West Virginia. Karen was a Christian woman with a beauty that was both internal and external. She was a loving wife, and an amazing mother. Karen was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Earl Richard McCallister of the home; her daughter, Deborah Lynn Wyatt and husband, Bill of Greenville, Texas; her son, Jason Scott McCallister and his fiancé, Morgan Leys of Okemos, Michigan; her grandchildren, Justin Michael Wyatt and wife, Amber of Greenville, Texas, Jessica Michelle Wyatt de Silva and husband, Fabio of Orlando, Florida, Rachael Leigh Wyatt of Greenville, Texas, Nichols Frodl of Greenville, Texas, Noah Gage McCallister of Okemos, Michigan, Jenavie Renee McCallister of Okemos, Michigan, Kaydynn DeZess of Okemos, Michigan; great-granddaughter, Sophia Luna Wyatt of Greenville, Texas; her sister, Harriett Ann Little and husband, Lester of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a brother, George Henry Fulkes and wife, Sandra of Acworth, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Jane Fulkes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Justin Deeter will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at Cunningham Memorial Park, 815 Cunningham Lane, St. Albans, West Virginia.
