Kathryn Faye Howell Overman May 16, 1955 – January 8, 2020 Kathy Overman, 64 of Wilson passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Robbie Parnell will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her special aunt, Linda Thorne Kathy is survived by her loving husband, William Franklin Overman of the home; sister, Betty Boyette Vick and husband, Garlon of Rosewood; sister-in-law, Barbara Overman Lort and husband, Ron of Chesapeake, Maryland; uncles, Philip Deans of Texas and JR Gordon of Wilson; niece, Morgan Lort Tollinger and husband, Art of Maryland; nephews, Ronnie Boyette and wife, Edith of Kenly, Michael “Joe” Boyette and wife, Connie of Micro, Timothy Boyette of Pennsylvania and Andrew Overman Lort of Maryland; great-nieces, Mackenzie, Natalie and Kayla Tollinger; cousins, Leonard Deans and wife, Terrie Deans, Adam, Jordan, Christina and Wendy all from Timberlake; Jeffrey Deans, Faith Deans, Emily Deans all from Texas and SuSu Cordon and husband, Witold Tulodziecki of Georgia. Kathy also leaves her special aunt, Linda Thorne and her adopted family, “Uncle” Donald, Donna, Paul and Jaxson Bjur-Thorne and Krystal Driver all of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Corina Howell; brothers, Arthur “Josh” Howell and Jimmy Howell; aunts, Fern Deans and Lou Gordon and brother-in-law, Willie Boyette.
