Miss Alice Kathryn Lamm, 80, of Wilson, went to her Heavenly home peacefully on August 13, 2013 surrounded by her family.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery with Dr. Billy Toler and Rev. Walt Tyndall officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at her home.

??Kat ?, as she was known by her family, ministered music for 60 years at Milbournie FWB Church, where she was a lifelong member.   She retired from Barton College with 59 ½   years of dedicated service.   ??Kat-enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and won numerous ribbons at the county fair.

??Kat-is survived by two sisters, Daphne Lamm Page of Wilson and Agnes Lamm Winstead of Elm City; and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard C. and Allie S. Lamm; one sister, Alene Lamm Strickland; four brothers, Fred M. Lamm, T.R. Lamm, and Kermit and Bruce, both who died in infancy; and six half-sisters and half-brothers.
