Katie Ruth Wilson Jones July 1, 1933 – March 29, 2019 Katie Ruth Wilson Jones, 85, of Wilson passed away Friday.  A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Larry Wells will officiate. The family will see friends Monday evening from 6 – 9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Katie is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bass and husband, Gene of Wilson; her sons, Rev. Larry Wells and Wanda of Seven Lakes, Greg Wells and wife, Linda of Goldsboro and Ronnie Wells of Wilson; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Jones; parents, Robert and Pattie Wilson; sisters, Phoebe Boone and Mary Boswell and brothers, Yank Wilson and Carlie Wilson.
