Kenneth Rudolph Batts
September 4, 1931 – June 30, 2018
Kenneth Rudolph “Bob” Batts, 86, of Elm City passed away Saturday. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenneth Batts, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Elm City and Ricky Batts and wife, Mel of Suffolk, Virginia; four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Pridgen, Pat Mullen, Ernestine Mercer all of Elm City, Katie Williams and Grace Raper of Wilson, and Shirley Gardner of Rocky Mount, and Sue Hancock of Nags Head, and Jo Bradshaw of Savannah, Georgia; his brothers, James Batts of Knightdale, and Tom Batts of Elm City, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Batts, parents, Ernest and Bertha Batts, and his brothers, Vernon Batts and Jack Batts.
