Kenneth Milburn Gainey

Kenneth Milburn Gainey July 10, 1960 – March 12, 2017   Kenneth Milburn Gainey, 56, of Fremont passed away Sunday. A celebration of his life will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends other times at the home.   Kenneth was a loving husband, father, PaPa, brother and a friend to all that knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.   Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Donna Lynn Gainey of the home; his daughters, Tonya Denise Strickland and husband, Michael of Fremont, Stacy Lynn Gainey of Pikeville, and Kala Nicole Casebolt and husband, Anthony Ryan of Rocky Mount; his granddaughters, Samantha Strickland and Olivia Casebolt; his mother, Edith Gainey of Middlesex; sisters, Linda Tedder and husband, Ronald of Kenly, Brenda Hooks and husband, Tim of Smithfield, and Lisa Kilburn of Middlesex; his brothers, Gary Gainey and wife, Debbie of Middlesex, Steve Gainey and wife, Revonda of Marion, and Darrell Gainey and wife, Judy of Marion; his mother-in-law, Elgie Flores of Wilson; his brother-in-law, Jeff Flores of Lucama, and Michelle Strickland Clayton.   The family would like to thank Community Hospice and their staff for the care Kenneth received, and especially Kim O’Neal for her sincere kindness, and her endless care and support for Kenneth and his family.   Condolences may be directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home at www.joyners.net.
