Kenneth Ray Lamm
July 30, 1938 – June 21, 2020
Kenneth Ray Lamm, 81 passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Kenneth retired from Bridgestone/Firestone in 2000 with twenty-five years of service and he also worked for the Wilson County Rescue Squad from 1960 – 1977.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Betty Wells Lamm of the home; daughter, Deborah Ann Lamm of Lucama; sons, Kenneth Steven Lamm of Wilson and Roger Eugene Lamm and wife, Geraldine of Wilson; grandchildren, Dylan Lamm, David Higgins, Christopher Gay, Elizabeth Gay, Waylon Lamm and Lauren Lamm; great-grandchildren, Lynnsey Higgins, Trevor Higgins and Emilyn Lamm; his sister-in-law, Judy Narron of Lucama and his special friends, Darnell Thompson and Snapper Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude K. and Mary Frances Bass Lamm; sisters, Geraldine Lamm, Irene Robbins and Patsy Deans; brothers, Claude, Clarence, and Bruce Lamm and his stepbrothers, Marshall Owens and Jimmy Owens.
