Kenneth Webb Turner February 3, 1931 – February 27, 2016 Kenneth Webb Turner, 85, of Wilson passed away Saturday. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the home of Harvey Causey, 7333 Strickland Farm Road, Macclesfield. Kenneth was a loving father, brother and a friend to all that knew him. Kenneth never met a stranger. He was in the U.S. Air Force and served his country with honor and pride during the Korean War. Kenneth was an honest, hardworking man and an avid fan of the UNC Tarheels. He loved all his wild critters and kept them well fed. Kenneth was dearly loved by his family and many friends, and will be missed and thought of often with memories that will bring smiles. Kenneth is survived by the love of his life and longtime companion, Barbara N. Felton of Wilson; his children, Paula Sampsell and husband, Walter of Warrenton, Virginia, Kenny Turner of Clifton, Virginia, Ellen Lane and husband, Troy of Heathsville, Virginia, Charlie Turner and wife, Trish of Jeffersonton, Virginia, Rickey Felton and wife, Betty of Wilson, Peggy Durham and husband, Dan of Elm City and Lisa Evans and husband, Johnny of Lucama ; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Greenwood Turner and Addie Ethel Webb Turner; ten brothers, and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in his honor to the WilMed Hospice, 1705 Tarboro Street S, Wilson, North Carolina. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
