Landen Morris Bass

Landen Morris Bass May 31, 2005 – March 1, 2017 Landen Morris Bass, 11, of Rock Ridge passed away Wednesday. His funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Marsh Swamp FWB Church Cemetery, Sims.  The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Landen was a kind, gentle soul that was wise beyond his years. He loved his family, his friends, his community, and especially his next door neighbors – the men and women of the Rock Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.  Landen enjoyed being outside playing sports, riding his bike and being a part of the Rock Ridge Community.  He loved cheering on the NC State Wolfpack and following them season to season.  Landen touched so many lives and he will be truly missed and thought of often with loving smiles. Landen is survived by his parents, Brian Clarence Bass and Kristie Lamm Bass of the home; his grandmother, Mary Joan Lamm of Rock Ridge; his grandparents, Sonny and Suzie Bass of Elm City; aunts, Wendy Davis of Rock Ridge and Sharon Lamm of Clayton; his uncle, Jeff Bass of Raleigh; his special cousins, Jenna Davis of New York, and Shannon Davis of Rock Ridge, and a host of other loving cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.
