LaRue High Williamson
October 24, 1929 – April 17, 2018
LaRue High Williamson, 88, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Sam Cullifer will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, and other times at the home of Sue Nichols, 5222 Quaker Road, Wilson.
LaRue is survived by her husband, William E. “Bud” Williamson of the home; daughters, Sandra “Sandy” Ellen Williamson of Wilson, and Sue Williamson Nichols and husband, Tim of Wilson; her grandchildren, Jennifer Carraway Penny and husband, Brian, Timothy Carraway and wife, Courtney, David Helms and wife, Amanda, and Beth Gudac and husband, Gary; step-grandchildren, Michelle Nichols Lee and husband, Steve, and Joshua Nichols and wife, Leigh Anne; seven great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; her brother, Gerald Ray High and wife, Rose of North Dakota, and sister-in-law, Barbara M. High of Eureka,
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Earl Williamson; parents, Reynard and Eva Ellen Lamm High, and her brothers, William I. “Billy” High, and Horace Hilton High.
In lieu of flowers, the family has request memorials in LaRue’s memory to the Alzheimer’s of North Carolina, 9131 Anson Way, Suite 206, Raleigh, North Carolina 27615.
