Laudis Ray Etheridge
February 14, 1932 – March 20, 2017
Laudis Ray Etheridge, 85, passed away Monday. His funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service and other times at the home.
Laudis is survived by his son, Dennis Etheridge and wife, Patsy of Lucama; daughter, Carolyn E. Brown and husband, Scott of Alabama; step-sons, Archie Murray, Jr. and wife, Loraine of Raleigh, Dewey R. Murray and wife, Cammie of Wilson, and Michael A. Murray and wife, Sharon of Nashville; step-daughter, Janice M. Murray of Greenville; grandsons, Spencer Etheridge of Lucama, Jonathan Murray of Wilson, and Gavin Whitley of Greenville; granddaughters, Kelsey Ballard and husband, Cline of Nashville, Lesley Murray of Nashville, and Elizabeth Whitley of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris P. Etheridge; twin brother, Leonard Etheridge; brothers, Aaron Etheridge, Richard Etheridge, Bud Etheridge, James Etheridge, Carlton (Tootsie) Etheridge, and Paul Etheridge; sister, Virginia Sinclair; grandson Hayden Whitley; granddaughter, Kathy Campbell; parents, John Bunyan and Daisy Lamm Etheridge.
Memorials may be made in Ray’s honor to Daniels Chapel FWB Church, Food Pantry, 4828 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson, NC 27893.
