Leigh June Johnson, 57, of Wilson, formerly of Deer Park, New York passed away Sunday.  A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Father Gregory Lowchy will officiate.

 The family will receive friends 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 4214 Dewfield Drive N., Wilson. Leigh was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend that was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Leigh is survived by her husband, Glenn Johnson of the home; her daughters, Stephanie Talbot and husband, Christopher of Wilson and Jacqueline Brite of Palm Bay, Florida; her step-daughters, Stephanie Johnson of PA and Brittany Johnson of Manhattan; her granddaughters, Shannon, Lauren and Emily of Palm Bay, Florida; her grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher, Jr. of Wilson; her sisters, Jill Ventiere and Perri Bachur of Long Island, New York; her brother, Jan Hummel and beloved friend of 45 years, Anne Stevens of Shirley, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Martin Hummel and June Josephine Hummel.
