Lewis Hunter Carter September 24, 1943 – December 1, 2017 Lewis Hunter Carter, 74, of Wilson passed away Friday. His funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Daniels Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Price Road, Wilson. Interment will follow in Black Creek Town Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Betty Lou Barnes Carter of the home; his son, Brad Carter of Wilson; his sister, Hilda Green of Youngsville, and his brother, Alton Parker Carter of Wake Forest.
