Lillian Adams Barnes December 19, 1925 – December 10, 2017 Lillian Adams Barnes, 91, of Wilson passed away Sunday. Her visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milbournie FWB Church, 5106 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with her funeral services starting at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Walt Tyndall, Rev. Greg Barnes, and Rev. Curtis Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Joanne, 8012 Springfield School Road, Kenly. Lillian is survived by her husband, Theolphius Barnes of the home; son, Jerry T. “Dick” Barnes and wife, Jamie of Morehead City; her daughter, Joanne B. Watson and husband, Rick of Kenly; granddaughter, Dana W. Batchelor and husband, Brian ; great-granddaughter, Sydney Batchelor; her great-grandsons, Harrison Batchelor and Joseph Batchelor, and her half-sister, Sarah Cussac. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lena Adams; sisters, Ernestine Frier, Lois Rivers, and Jeraldine Thomas, and her brother, Joe DeLoach. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in Lillian’s honor to be directed to the Milbournie FWB Church, 5106 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
