March 30, 1929 – December 7, 2021

Lillian Deans Kennedy, 92 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A private graveside will follow. Dr. David Hailey will officiate. The family requests that masks are worn.

The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1 – 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Ralph J. Kennedy Jr. of Wilson; daughter, Nadine Bradsher and husband, Charles of Apex; son, Ralph James Kennedy III and wife, Jacqueline of Wilson and granddaughter, Kristin Bradsher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Emma Deans; and sister, Freida Deans Foster and a female infant sister.

Lillian was an educator in the public school system for over thirty years, retiring from Fike High School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
