Linda Cooley Baines, 70, of Elm City passed away Tuesday.  Graveside services in Bailey Town Cemetery will be private. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Baines Sarmiento and husband, Richard of Rocky Mount; her grandson, Marc Sarmiento of Denver, CO; her granddaughter, Lauren Sarmiento of Rocky Mount; and her brother, Harold Cooley and wife, Linda of Lucama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Baines; a son, Timothy Baines; and her parents, Robie and Lillie Cooley. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
