Linda Faye Goff Dunn Hasty

Linda Faye Goff Dunn Hasty, 77 of Rocky Mount met her heavenly Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 4, 2023.  The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 – 2:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with funeral services following at 3 p.m.  Interment will follow in Black Creek Town Cemetery, Black Creek.  Pastor C.J. Cauble will officiate.

Linda volunteered for the American Red Cross, worked for twenty-five years as a volunteer for the Wilson Soup Kitchen, and was an active member of Southside Baptist Church of Elm City.  She loved the beach, playing bingo, bowling, traveling and especially slot machines.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and she cherished many special friends and neighbors. Linda was dearly loved and a special gift to all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her husband, Charlie Hasty of the home; son, Jeff “Jeffro” Dunn, and his fiancé, Lisa Denning of Wilson; step-daughters, Lorraine Raper (Randy) of Wilson, and Nancy Cullings and husband, Rob of Sharpsburg, Georgia; step-son, Chuck Hasty of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, Ellen Goff Johnson and husband, Doug of Wilson, and Ann Goff Limper and husband, Eddie of Kansas; brother, Mack Goff of Wilson; grandchildren, Cortney, Nikki, Jessica, Amy, Brittany, Megan, Bobby, Brian and Robert, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monnie and Neta Thigpen Goff; sisters, Doris Goff Carr, and Mary Goff Beamon; brothers, Floyd Goff, William Goff, and Earl Goff; her sister-in-law, Libby Ireland Goff, and daughter-in-law, Barb Agee Hasty.
