Linda Winstead Peedin May 28, 1941 – December 5, 2016 Linda Winstead Peedin, 75, of Wilson passed away Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Contentnea Cemetery, Hwy 42, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Singleton and Rev. Tony Hawley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6:45 p.m. Thursday prior to the service and other times at the home. Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Susan Irby and husband, Gene of Hopewell, Virginia; her sons, Dusty Ray Viverette and wife, Connie of Wilson, and Marty Clifton Viverette of Chester, Virginia and fiancée, Jennifer Forysthe; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Richard Walston and Wayne Walston and wife, Peggy of Reidsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Peedin; her parents, Marcellus and Bessie Winstead, and her mother, Katie Walston.
