Linda Price Perry

Linda Price Perry, 87 of Sims passed away Saturday peacefully with her family by her side.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Rev. Anderson Barnes will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Linda joined the Carolina Telephone in 1955 as a long-distance operator in Wilson. After thirty-six years of service, she retired as an operations clerk in CT&T’s operator service department.  Her favorite past time was working in her yard and tending to her flower garden until her health declined.  She loved to travel with her husband in their RV. Linda loved her family and gave her all to those around her.  She adored her two girls and was their support system.  Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed with wonderful memories that will bring a smile.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Vickie P. Phillips of Sims, and Trudy P. Weeks and husband, Terry of Wilson; former son-in-law, William Henry Dixon “Thumper” of Lucama;  brother, Ray Price of Bailey and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Perry; parents, Malvin and Blanche Ferrell Price, and her sister, Virginia Price Pearce.
