Lloyd Thompson Brinson, III August 15, 1953 – May 4, 2017   Lloyd Thompson Brinson III, of Wilson, left his earthly home on a most spectacularly beautiful spring afternoon. Born August 15, 1953 in Radford, Virginia to Lloyd Thompson Brinson and Cassie Crawford Brinson, he moved to Wilson County as a child following the early death of his mother. He grew up close to his extended family placing a lifelong value on these relationships. He attended public schools and graduated from East Carolina University and later Barton College in the same year the name transitioned from Atlantic Christian College.  He spent the majority of his career in banking where he most recently worked for PNC Bank in Rocky Mount. He married in July 1980 and is survived by his wife, Jane Horne Brinson, and their children John Tomlinson Brinson of Wilson, William Lloyd Brinson of Durham, and Anna Russell Brinson of Cedar Point.  He is also survived by his brother, William Curtis Brinson of Raleigh, sister-in-law, Sandra Benton of Raleigh, brother-in-law John Horne and wife, Lisa of Lexington, and sister-in-law, Myra Powell of Wilson. Included in his family circle are wonderful nephews, a niece and many well-loved cousins. He was a member of First Christian Church where he was married and watched his children baptized as 4th generation members.  He served quietly and faithfully as a Deacon, Steward, and Committee Chair.  He also served as an Adult Leader for Troop 10 Boy Scouts of America for several years. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he loved to travel to the coast, follow East Carolina Pirate Sports, read, and listen to classical music. He will be missed. There will be a brief graveside service held in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with a church service following at First Christian Church, 207 Tarboro N, Street, Wilson at 1:00 p.m. with visitation immediately following.  Otherwise, the family will receive guests at home.
