Lloyd Gordon Williford August 26, 1937 – November 23, 2018 Lloyd Gordon Williford, 81, of Elm City passed away Friday. His funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnny Hudson will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Gordon served his country with honor and pride in the U.S. Navy and retired from McLean Trucking Company. Gordon is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Russell Williford of the home; sons, Allen Williford and wife, Melinda of Wilson and Graham Williford of Elm City; sister, Mahala Williams of Wilson; granddog, Bandit and his special rescue pet, Junior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Taylor Williford and Sally Ruth Whitley Williford; sister, Janice Gillilland and brother, Edward Williford. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Gordon’s memory to the Wilson Humane Society, P.O. Box 7064, Wilson, North Carolina 27895.
