Lois Jean Wiggins Joyner
March 31, 1938 – July 23, 2021
Lois Jean Wiggins Joyner, 83 of Elm City passed away Friday peacefully in her home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. with her funeral following at 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Rev. David Allen will officiate.
Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She loved to cook and was an excellent cook. Lois was loved by all and will be greatly missed and will be remembered with wonderful memories.
Lois is survived by her husband, Delton Joyner; daughters, Dianne Pittman and husband, Hardy, and Mary Lois Stancil and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Kasey Pittman and fiancé, Noah West, Matthew Stancil and wife, Allison, and Daniel Stancil and wife, Amber; great-grandchildren, Ellington Stancil, and Weston Stancil, and her brother, Billy Wiggins and wife, Becky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Nora Wiggins, and her sisters, Mable Gurley and Alice Mercer.
