Lorene Hawley Ferrell

Lorene Hawley Ferrell May 31, 1928 – March 23, 2017 Lorene Hawley Ferrell, 88, of Wilson passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 25 at 2 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.  The Rev. Brian Tippett will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Patsy Webb. Lorene is survived by her daughter, Patsy F. Webb and husband, Edward of Wilson; her son, Luby H. “Chip” Ferrell and wife, Lisa of Macclesfield; her grandchildren, Megan W. Turner & husband, Matt and Shawn Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Seth and Mattie Turner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luby H. Ferrell; parents, Arthur Hawley and Lillie Hawley; sister, Loretta Lamm, and her brothers, Sherwood Hawley and Elwood Hawley. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Avante of Wilson for their care and compassion for Lorene. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Lorene’s honor to Peace Church, Deacon Fund, 2838 Tilghman Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
