Louise Stokes Pridgen June 20, 1944 – April 4, 2020 Louise Stokes Pridgen, 75 of Wilson passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 in Wilson. Louise is survived by her sons, Keith Pridgen (Rhonda) of Zebulon and Scott Pridgen (Kelly) of Frederick, Maryland; sisters, Bettie Fulcher (Robert) and Cathy Skinner; brothers, Frank Stokes (Elizabeth) and Kenneth Stokes (Perla) all of Wilson; grandsons, Joshua Hines of Wilson, Hunter Pridgen of Frederick, Maryland, Dawson Pridgen of Zebulon, Jaden Pridgen of Frederick, Maryland and Ryan Pridgen of Frederick, Maryland and her many nieces, nephews and extended family, Susan Aliff, Stacie Poste, Jason Fulcher, Brian Skinner, Sue Harrell, Brandon Stokes, Trevor Stokes, Connor Stokes, Tara Aliff, Ty Skinner, Graham Stokes, Grady Poste and Zach Harrell and especially close to her cousin, Patricia Ferrell. Louise was born in Wilson in 1944 to Clarence and Marie Stokes who preceded her in death. She was a Wilson resident her entire life. Louise was an avid reader, frequently reading 3 to 4 books a week and was often consulted by friends and family due to her broad knowledge as a result. She loved sports, especially the ups/downs of her beloved Wolfpack! Many hours were spent watching games with her or discussing the great plays or “bad calls” from the night before. She loved her family intensely, cherishing any opportunity she had to be with them, whether it was trips to Myrtle Beach or Disney World, playing with her grandsons, or any excuse to just visit. In recent years, she especially enjoyed her Saturday afternoon visits with her cousin, Patricia. Above all, she was a women of great faith, who loved her God Jehovah with all her heart and spent her life sharing her Bible based hope for the future with others. Her faithful example impacted those in her life, especially her sons, who echo one of her final sentiments she left to the: “See you in Paradise”. We eagerly await that day!
