Lucille Creech Holland June 3, 1926 – May 18, 2018 Lucille Creech Holland, 91, a resident of WilMed Nursing Center, and formerly of Lucama passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Holland Family Cemetery, Oscar Loop Road, Lucama. The Rev. George Arant and Rev. Bill Pike will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, and other times at the home of her daughters Sandy Taylor and Joyce Batchelor. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Joyce H. Batchelor and husband, Donald of Middlesex, Janie H. Crumpler and husband, Wayne of Kenly, and Sandy H. Taylor and husband, Aubrey of Kenly; her sons, Ray Holland and wife, Wanda of Wilson, Ronnie Holland and wife, Patricia of Lucama, Danny Holland and wife, Susie of Lucama, Donnie Holland and wife, Diana of Lucama, Jackie Holland and wife, Candy of Kenly, and Robby Holland and wife, Linda of Lucama; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Ray Holland; grandsons, Christopher Evans, and Justin Taylor; mother, Ida Batten Creech; father, Edgar Creech and step-mother, Patience Creech, and her brother, Narvin Creech. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made in Lucille’s memory to the Kenly Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 237, Kenly, North Carolina 27542, FWB Children’s Home, PO Box 249, Middlesex, North Carolina 27557, or the WilMed Hospice Center, 1705 Tarboro Street S, Wilson, North Carolina 27893. The family would like to express their gratitude and give a special thanks to the staff of WilMed Hospice for their compassion, and caring love to our wonderful mother.
