Maeomie Godwin Batchelor May 29, 1921 – November 15, 2017 Maeomie Godwin Batchelor, 96, of Wilson passed away Wednesday. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Maeomie is survived by her son, Dennis T. Batchelor and wife, Gail of Mooresville; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Batchelor; her sister, Myrtle Ellis of New Castle Delaware; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Giles Batchelor, Sr.; her daughters, Barbara Mae Batchelor, and Dorothy Faye Batchelor; her son, Garland Giles Batchelor, Jr., and her brothers, William Godwin, and Joe Godwin.
