Marcell Bottoms Joyner, 63 went to be with her Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ on Friday, October 6, 2023, after hearing one of her favorite hymns, “How Great Thou Art”, played for her by her loving husband, Larry, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Pastor Bill Groce will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Marcell is survived by her loving husband, Larry Joyner; daughter, Sara Eatmon; son, Matthew Eatmon; sister, Terry Cunha and husband, Tony; nieces, Julie Cunha and Curtis Jones, Stephanie Cunha and Kelton Westley, and Michelle Adkins; nephews, Joey Roberson, Daniel Cunha and Sara, Jonathan Cunha and Lee-Anne, Anthony Cunha and Evelyn, and Paul Adkins, and her step-brother, Jamey Crumpler and Michelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Lucille Bottoms; sisters, Sue Bottoms, Bonnie Roberson, Kathy Bottoms, and Kaye Roberson; step-mother, Jean Bottoms; and her nephews, Alex Cunha and Shane Roberson.
