Margaret Louise Weaver Allen

 October 28, 1926 – March 3, 2014

Margaret Louise Weaver Allen, 87, of Wilson passed away Monday.  A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate.  Graveside services in Evergreen Memorial Park will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at 2500 St. Christopher Circle, #1, Wilson. Margaret loved to travel, traveling extensively both in the United States and overseas.  She was a charter member of Farmington Heights Church of God.  Margaret was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. Margaret is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joe Allen of Wilson; her daughter, Diane Allen Mitchell and husband, Tommy of Sims; her sons, Joseph R. “Joey” Allen, Jr. of Wilmington and Trent Allen and wife, Theresa of Sims; her granddaughter, Kim Fitzgerald of Pinehurst; her grandson, Harlee Allen of Sims; her great-granddaughter, Chloe Fitzgerald of Pinehurst; her great-grandson, John Fitzgerald of Pinehurst; her step-granddaughter, Deana Godwin of Raleigh and her step-great-grandchildren, Greyson, Cameron and Ethan. The family would to like to express their heartfelt thanks to Lois Brown, for her love and care of Margaret and to the staff of Kitty Askins for their compassion and support.
