Margaret Creel Watson

Margaret Creel Watson July 17, 1930 – October 18, 2018 Margaret Creel Watson, 88 of Wilson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Farmington Heights Church of God, 910 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service Monday evening at Farmington Heights Church of God, Wilson and other times at the home. Margaret enjoyed working in her yard and was a wonderful cook. She was employed by the Wilson County Schools for twenty-five years of dedicated service in Food Service Management. Margaret loved and served her God as a powerful prayer warrior and was a dedicated member of Farmington Heights Church for years. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed. She will be thought of often with memories that will warm the heart and bring a smile to your face. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sandi W. Turner and Meg W. Gardner both of Wilson; granddaughters, Danielle N. Gardner and Ryan Hoerter of Wilmington and Reagan Perry and a great-grandson, Noah Perry; her special friend and long-term caregiver, “J.J.” Janice Johnson, and caregiver, Sarah Farmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell N. Watson; son, Rusty Watson; daughter, Kathy W. Perry and Fred Crespo. Condolences may be directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home at www.joyners.net.
