Margery Bell Newsome Harris

August 20, 1925 – June 21, 2014

Margery Bell Newsome Harris, 88 of Wilson passed over into her Heavenly estate, June 21, 2014 at 6:01 a.m.  A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Maplewood Cemetery.  The Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, Rev. Steve Clayton will conduct the celebration of her life. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Margery is survived by her God given extended family, F. Michael Lewis and wife, Audrey and their children, Caleb, Brandon and Heather of Wilson; her sister-in-law, Nina Newsome of Decatur, GA; her nephew, Glen Newsome of Lilburn, GA and her Fidelis Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, which she loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Julian Harris; her parents, Arthur and Eva Newsome; her brother, Ernest Milton Newsome and her half-brother, Clarence Newsome. The Lewis family would like to thank Margery for teaching our family how to live.  A simple summary being “Take what you have and live life to its fullest.” “Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, today is our present from God, take this gift and honor Him with it.” It was Margery wishes that there be no flowers, but memorials made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC  27894(252-243-5163) or to a charity of one’s choice.
